School District Performance

Arizona’s Office of the Auditor General provides evaluations of the state’s school districts that address several critical features of their performance. There is an overall district letter grade that reflects the number of schools within the district receiving a particular grade. Those grades include the performance of the district’s students on standard (AIMS) exams in relation to each other, to their peer groups, and to other schools in the state. A number of operational considerations, including the proportion of spending devoted to the classroom in comparison with other expenses are also included. The chart below includes the overall district grade, classroom expenditure percentage, and the grades received by the schools within the district.
