Beth Weinstein Honored with Diversity Leadership Award
SoA Associate Professor Beth Weinstein has been selected as the honorable mention for the Richard Ruiz Diversity Leadership Faculty Award for the 2015-2016 academic year. This prestigious award honors faculty who have significantly contributed to enhancing the academic distinction of The University of Arizona by creating a diverse and inclusive community. Beth was nominated for the award by SoA Director, Rob Miller.
Said Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, Tom Miller, "The pool of nominees was very competitive, comprised of high caliber colleagues who work tirelessly to increase the diversity of our academic community and create educational opportunities for our students to benefit from diversity. The committee faced a nearly impossible challenge this year to select winners. All of the nominees were truly inspiring. Like you, they know that diversity and inclusion are critical in a highly interdependent, complex and culturally rich workplace, and imperative to the success of our University and students."
Beth and Rob will attend a reception honoring all the recipients and their nominators later this month.
