Dean Jan Cervelli has been hand-selected by UA President Hart to be part of the three member Bond Advisory Committee, charged with coordinating all UA involvement in bond proposal planning. As Pima County prepares for the 2015 bond election, the UA is supporting some proposals as an institution, and the Bond Advisory Committee has the important duty of creating consistent and positive messaging around those proposals and forging relationships with regional partners who can assist with their successful passage.
The initiative is part of the larger implementation of the Never Settle academic and business plan, whereby UA is developing a coordinated engagement strategy for Pima County and all of Southern Arizona. The primary goals in this process are to ensure that the UA maintains and strengthens its important relationships with other key stakeholders in our community, and that we work together in a deliberate and consistent manner as representatives of the University.
The other members serving on the committee are Tannya Gaxiola, Assistant Vice President for Community Relations, and Robert Smith, Vice President for Business Affairs.
