MS Arch student (and recent graduate from our SBE program) Rachel LaMantia took first place in Grand Slam 2015, a campuswide competition of graduate students who were judged on their three-minute talks about research and discovery.  Rachel won the top prize of $3000 for her presentation on energy-efficient contemporary housing structures based on Hopi traditions. The annual UA tournament was hosted by the Graduate and Proffesional Student Council with sponsorship from the Office of Research and Discovery and the University Libraries.
