Susannah Dickinson, associate professor of architecture, has been invited to participate in the LSE Cities (London School of Economics) Urban Age Shaping Cities Conference. Hosted in conjunction with the Biennale di Venezia and United Nations' Habitat III, the conference will investigate how people, institutions, policymakers, investors and designers affect the physical form of cities, and how this impacts the way we live in them. The conference takes place in the Arsenale complex of the Venice Biennale, Italy and will be attended by UN Habitat Executive Director Joan Clos; curator of the Venice Architecture Biennale and Pritzker Prize laureate Alejandro Aravena; urban leaders Enrique Peñalosa from Bogotá and Jennifer Musisi from Kampala as well as leading academics Saskia Sassen, AbdouMaliq Simone, Ed Glaeser, Richard Sennett and key urban thinkers and practitioners including Rahul Mehrotra and Henk Ovink.
