The UA Chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society, which was established in 1983, achieved Gold Award, the honor society’s highest standard, for the 2013-14 school year. Golden Key, open to all UA students who are in the top 15 percent of their class, focuses on academics, leadership and service. Members use the power of knowledge to transform lives and change situations for the better as they develop keen leadership skills.

To achieve Gold Award, Golden Key honors students completed an extensive list of requirements, including carrying out numerous community and educational service projects, participating in professional development activities, and attending regional and national leadership training meetings.

SoA B.Arch. student Truc Nguyen, who served as treasure of The UA Golden Key Honour Society for the 2013-14 school year, is the current president of the organization. Other architecture students serving as officers this year are Edson Pinto (Webmaster) and Christina Kukurba (Historian). SoA Associate Professor Lisa Schrenk serves as co-faculty advisor for the UA Golden Key Chapter.

If you are a top student interested in joining in on the fun and rewards of Golden Key, talk to Truc Nguyen or one of the other officers. A new members’ dinner will be held on campus on Friday, November 21st.
