Prospective students are required to submit application materials directly to the University of Arizona Graduate College. Please pay careful attention to the procedures described in the on-line application portal. You can access the online application system as many times as necessary to prepare your application up until the time you formally submit your materials. The application fee is $85 for domestic applicants and $95 for international. Applications will be reviewed until all materials have been received.

Applicants will be notified of their application status no later than April 1, and if admitted, will be asked to confirm their attendance by April 21.

Letters of Recommendations:
You will be asked to provide the names and contact information (email address) of three persons who are in a position to provide a recommendation that addresses your potential for success in a graduate program. A combination of academic and professional recommendations is preferred. As soon as you have entered this information, an automatic email message will be sent to your recommender, explaining what is required and giving him/her instructions on how to log in on our website. On the recommendations site they will be asked to complete a form, and will also be able to upload a letter or type in some text, if they wish to do so.
Upload multiple images in pdf document. Sample portfolio images are available on our website. What to include in your portfolio: The portfolio should be an exhibition of material indicating your creative abilities and should be coherently presented in a clear and concise format. The portfolio should communicate your graphic proficiency, design composition and communication skills, and/or environmental sensitivity. Submitted materials may be products from design studios, professional work, creative or expository writing, built works or any other material that indicates your professional potential. Work that is of your own creation (as opposed to assembled artifacts) is of particular interest. Briefly explain each exhibit with a clear indication of your contribution when the item includes a team project. Indicate the date of creation and the approximate length of time devoted to the effort.
