LAR 422/522 Landscape Analysis
Integrated field and classroom instruction introduces the student to inventory and analysis of biological, physical, social/behavioral, and cultural elements of the landscape. Projects will incorporate principles of landscape ecology and regional landscape planning. Output of the course will deal with implications of the above-named elements on design. In addition, design programming and data manipulation will be introduced and a conceptual design for a given site will be developed.
Typical structure: 2 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory.
