Join us at the Tucson Museum of Art for the final presentation of this spring's Lineage Lecture series. This presentation is supported by the generosity of Rick Joy Architects as a part of the Studio Joy Lecture Series. Paul Stevenson Oles, FAIA, will share his view on various Modes of Drawing, and the role of drawing in design thinking, analysis and representation.

Paul Stevenson Oles is a practicing architect, educator and architectural visualist.

He is a graduate of Texas Tech and Yale Universities, and has taught at RISD, Yale, MIT and Harvard - where he was a Loeb Fellow in 1982. He has received an AIA Institute Honor for his work in design illustration.  He is co-founder of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators, and author of two seminal books on drawing. In 1989 he was advanced to the AIA College of Fellows, which cited him as the "Dean of Architectural Illustrators in America."  In addition to his work in illustration, he has headed his own firm since 1971, Interface Architects, which has been responsible for the design and construction of projects in the fields of elderly housing, energy efficient residential design and bridge design.
