UA College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture Dean Jan Cervelli has joined the Executive Advisory Committee for "The Next 125" for the University of Arizona. Dean Cervelli accepted the invitation to join the committee extended by UA President Eugene G. Sander earlier this month.

The University of Arizona is celebrating 125 years since Arizona's 13th Territorial Legislature authorized establishment of the University of Arizona in 1885.

"There has never been a more critical time in the history of the UA for us to engage in our collective wisdom in imagining what a land-grant University will be in the 21st Century," Sander wrote in his invitation to Cervelli.

This new committee will do the work of major revamping of the UA Strategic Plan. In her role on the committee, Dean Cervelli will be involved in high-level decision making and providing long-term strategic advice for the UA's Strategic Planning Budget and Advisory Committee (SPBAC) as those committee members develop the next major strategic plan for the UA.

The new UA strategic plan will be a collaborative effort in concert with the President's Office, the President's Cabinet, the University Deans and the wider university community.
