Master of Landscape Architecture alumnus Martin R. Yoklic passed away on October 11, 2014. He graduated from the program in 1983, and remained a respected colleague and friend of the College.

Martin's obituary appeared in the Arizona Daily Star on October 16, 2014 and read:

Martin R. Yoklic, born to Monna Spencer (d) and Martin J Yoklic (d) in Weirton, WV, died at home in Tucson on October 11, 2014 from cancer. Martin was a designer, builder, steward of the planet, hiker, plant lover, fixer of all things, a veteran and always a student of how things work. Martin graduated from WVU with a B.S. in Geography and from the UofA with an M.L.A. in Landscape Architecture. He worked at the Environmental Research Lab at the UofA until his recent retirement. He is survived by his wife, Deborah; sons, Max and Simon, and brother, Michael (Kay Ross).

His memorial service was held on Sunday, October 19. In lieu of flowers, Martin requested donations to the Nature Conservancy in Arizona.

Our condolences go out to Martin's wife and sons, the Yoklic family, and those who knew and loved him.
