Architecture Degree Program
Darci Hazelbaker joined the UA School of Architecture faculty in the Fall of 2007, teaching in the Foundation Design Studios. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Architecture from the University of New Mexico where she graduated with top honors.
She established her own architecture and design studio, Hazelbaker Rush with her partner in 2009. They both share a strong passion for the act of crafting objects and spaces through the use and re-use of materials, while distilling the ideas behind this act to its simplest and most pure form. In the making of space they believe that the evolution of ideas and methods takes place within a process that is continually evolving to engage the client, the user, the craftsman, and the environment. They feel the success of any design can be measured by the integrity found within this process, as well as, the experiences created by it.
Collectively their work has been published in the 2002 Whitney Biennial, Architectural Record, Architectural Review, Metropolis, Monocle and the Phaidon Atlas for Contemporary World Architecture.
