Susan Bierer is the Research Coordinator for the School of Architecture in the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture. Previously she worked as an archaeologist for the National Park Service and brings expertise in GIS, site documentation, condition assessment and field data collection methods.

Other research related positions held include Assistant Research Anthropologist and data analyst for the Museum of Northern Arizona. Susan also submitted independent GIS research, site records, and archival map analysis while interning at Grand Canyon National Park. She holds a Masters degree in Anthropology from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Arizona, where she attended Grasshopper Field School.
