Angie Smith joined CAPLA in 2019. Before joining the University of Arizona, she was the founding partner of a nonprofit and fundraising consulting company, Smith & Dale Philanthropic Counsel, for eight years. Prior to that she was the principal of 4 Granted Fundraising Counsel for eight years and a consultant for Capital Quest, Inc. Angie also has several years of experience working for nonprofit organizations such as Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation and Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault.

With 30 + years of experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations and as a consultant to nonprofit organizations, she has a breadth of experience training nonprofit organizations on fundraising theory and practice, and the important governance work that impacts nonprofit organizations. She has spent a large part of her career conducting feasibility studies for capital campaigns and capital campaigns locally and nationally.
