Camp Architecture is a series of week-long summer day programs designed for students interested in the field of architecture. Participants learn to draw by hand and on the computer, construct models in the CAPLA Materials Lab, test structural models, and learn about sustainability and careers in the design field. Taught by our inspiring young architects at the School of Architecture, with the support of outstanding student assistants, aspiring architects will get a unique glimpse into the world of design while acquiring skills unavailable outside a college setting.

Designed for middle school and high school students, Camp Architecture is a five-day sequence of highly orchestrated workshops. There are four sessions available throughout the month of June, 2017:

1 week - full day (M-F / 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) - $395 (Lunch break noon-1:00pm, lunch not included)

Session A - available to rising 6th graders to rising 8th graders, June 5-9, 2017
Session B - available to rising 9th graders to rising 12th graders, June 12-16, 2017
Session C - available to rising 6th graders to rising 8th graders, June 19-23, 2017
Session D - available to rising 9th to rising 12th graders, June 26-30, 2017

Camp Architecture is a public educational program of the University of Arizona College of Architecture, Planning & Landscape Architecture. Your registration fee is a non-tax deductible payment. Each session is limited to 25 participants.

In October 2016 Camp Architecture partnered up with the American Institute of Architects and Habitat for Humanity to offer a mini-free Camp Architecture to middle and high school students. The workshop was a single day, free event where students worked in teams along with local design professionals to help design a potential new home for Habitat's new project, a new single family residence located within Tucson.

Camp Architecture 2016 has officially come to a close, but our memories and excitement live on. Don't miss the photographic story or videos taken away from Camp 2016!
