Learn more about our programs, faculty and facilities with a visit to the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture.

A personal visit to our world-class facilities can yield real insight into studying architecture, landscape architecture, real estate development and urban planning at CAPLA. Meet with academic advisors, faculty and key administration. Sit in on classes (with instructor permission, public health guidelines permitting). Meet students in your areas of interest. Attend lectures, exhibitions and other events (once happening again). Tour the CAPLA building and meet with student ambassadors.

Visiting CAPLA

CAPLA West and CAPLA East (CAPLA Building, formerly Architecture Building) Public Hours

The CAPLA Building is currently open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday. 

Additional student access via CatCard is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

The CAPLA Building (Architecture West and Architecture East) is located at 1040 North Olive Road, just south of Speedway Boulevard, east of Park Avenue and southeast of the Park Avenue Parking Garage:

Parking Options

Guests may park in the Park Avenue Garage, located on the northeast corner of Speedway Boulevard and Park Avenue. View hourly and daily rates for the garage. Once you have parked, walk south on Olive Road, through the Speedway Boulevard underpass and the college is the first building to your left (east).

For those visiting after 5 p.m. for special events, free parking is available in Lot 3039. Head south on Mountain Avenue from Speedway Boulevard, turn right on Second Street, then right on Palm Street. You’ll find the CAPLA Building on the northwest end of the parking lot.

From Tucson International Airport

From Tucson International Airport, head north on Tucson Boulevard. Tucson Boulevard begins to turn to the northwest and becomes Benson Highway. As the road begins to curve, watch for a sign that says "Kino Parkway - City Center." Turn right onto Kino Parkway. Kino will eventually become Campbell Avenue. Continue north on Campbell. Take a left on Speedway Boulevard. Take a right on Park Avenue, and park in the Park Avenue Parking Garage.

From Phoenix

From Phoenix, take I-10 east to Tucson. Exit at at The University of Arizona/Speedway Blvd (exit #257). Head east on approximately two miles. Take a left at Park Avenue, and park in the Park Avenue Parking Garage.
