Assistant Professor Jonathan Bean will a featured speaker at the 2018 Humid Climate Conference this month in Austin, Texas.

Jonathan’s Day 1 keynote, Demand Less, Expect More, will translate key ideas from social science to the context of building science and spark a discussion about how participants at the Humid Climate Conference can lead market transformation. Jonathan will address questions such as: What’s next for high-performance building? How can the confluence of net zero, passive house, and other approaches to more sustainable building find traction in the market? What do we have to learn from the successes—and failures—not only of building assemblies in specific climate zones but also from other movements aiming to create change in the contemporary US?

The conference is sponsored by Passive House Institute US, Passive House Alliance United States, and its local Austin Chapter.
