Title: "Open Space Planning for the Town of Sahuarita: From Visions to Implementation"

Speakers:  Laura Huntoon, PhD, AICP, University of Arizona Planning Program & Sarah More, FAICP, Planning & Building Director, Town of Sahuarita

Abstract: For Sahuarita, open spaces contribute to social and environmental sustainability, conservation and preservation of the Santa Cruz River.  Keeping natural resources and natural open spaces is a top priority, along with promoting the region's system of trails and developing connectivity to the Santa Cruz River and Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail.  What is Sahuarita's approach and how did UA students help develop this element of the town's plan?

Cost to attend: $5 for professionals, FREE for students
