logoCALA is pleased to report that the University of Arizona has achieved a Gold rating in the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System™ (STARS) from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.   The U of A joins only 26 other universities in North America in achieving the Gold rating.  The College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture benefits greatly from being part of a university so solidly committed to sustainability.

STARS is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance in a number of critical areas including Education and Research (curriculum, research); Operations (buildings, dining services, energy, grounds, purchasing, transportation, waste, water); Planning, Administration and Engagement (diversity, affordability, human resources, investment, public engagement); and Innovation.  Read more about STARS and the University of Arizona rating.
