Mission
The National Association of Minority Landscape Architects (NAMLA) Student Chapter at the University of
Arizona was established to support students and advance minority representation in the field of landscape architecture. In response to longstanding barriers within the profession, the chapter focuses on creating pathways for access, professional growth, and cultural innovation.
By supporting NAMLA’s national mission, the student chapter connects members to minority-owned firm directories, L.A.R.E. resources, and a broader professional network. At the local level, NAMLA fosters community through skill- and software-based workshops, networking opportunities, social events, and volunteer experiences that connect students with the Tucson and surrounding design communities
