Submission Deadline for Student Ideas Competition: What Could Renewable Energy in the Southwest Look Like to You?

CAPLA students, submit your drawing an explanation of your idea for what renewable energy in the Southwest could look like to you to win a cash award and an opportunity to present your idea at the Southwest Regional Workshop hosted by the University of Arizona and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

Awards (sponsored by CELA):

  • First Place: $150
  • Second Place: $120
  • Third Place: $80
  • Honorable Mentions (up to 3): $50

Instructions:

  • Select one of the six pathways to place-based renewable energy landscapes at scale that guides, or relates to, your idea
  • Provide a drawing that illustrates the essence of your idea, must be 5.5” x 5.5” @ 300dpi (JPG or PNG)
  • Provide a title and describe your idea in 3,000 characters or less

Details:

  • Submit by October 17, 2022, 11:59 p.m. PDT
  • Jury review and award notifications by mid-November
  • Public announcement and virtual workshop presentation: December 15, 2022
