[ABouT] HOME asks for creative and scholarly work that shares projects, drawings, writings and imagery that invoke the idea of home as a spatial territory and an innate human experience of the physical world.
This volume seeks projects that document, criticize, analyze, explore and expand the meaning of home within the current global context. The journal will explore interpretations of the notion of home through the lens of culture, ritual, community, identity, tradition and technology. The collective feeling of home fosters a sense of belonging, both tangible and abstract. Ideologies of home span Across infinite spatial imaginaries, Beyond our perceived environment and Through the physical realm.
Work that addresses equity and inclusion is deeply encouraged for submission. Submissions are due by March 14, 2023.
