Daniel decided to be an architect in high school. His top schools of choice were Cal Poly and Arizona. He chose Arizona and says "the program was fantastic. I have passed on my enthusiasm for CAPLA to my kids." His two youngest are B.Arch students.
After graduation in 1998, he worked for Gensler in Newport Beach, California. He then started Fuse Architects Inc with fellow classmate Dan Gomez in 2001; and are now Fuse Architects and Builders, a 20+ firm in Capitola, California.
