Biography

After completing a double major in Finance and Economics from Indiana University, Paul Kraft’s 29-year professional career has focused exclusively on commercial real estate. His expertise includes underwriting analysis using discounted cash flow methodologies, risk rating credit scoring models, appraisal desktop modeling, legal document reviewing, underwriting/negotiating leases, company operating financial credit analysis and cost/benefit decisions to dispose or acquire investment commercial real estate. 

Paul is currently practicing in the commercial real estate industry as the chief executive officer of the Clover Company, which primarily holds a commercial real estate portfolio of industrial, retail, office, hotel and multifamily investments. His responsibilities include overseeing acquisitions/dispositions, property management, underwriting return/risk decisions, leasing and reports directly to ownership. He manages strategic partner relationships, including serving as the managing member for privately held entities. 

While practicing in the profession, Paul completed some real estate graduate degree coursework at the University of Memphis. Before the Clover Company, he worked for financial institutions to underwrite, produce and manage commercial real estate loans. He ultimately managed a team of commercial real estate lenders and support staff. Commercial real estate loan analysis consisted of underwriting retail, industrial, hotel, office, home building, land development and self-storage investment properties. Key attributes included developing relationships with a spectrum of real estate developers and investment holding company ownership as well as creating strategic alliances within the financial institution franchise where he was employed.
