MS Architecture Student Experience

An environment that welcomes you no matter where you call home.

In the Master of Science in Architecture program, students come from all over the world and from a variety of academic and practice experiences. Regardless of how you arrive at CAPLA, the Sonoran Desert provides a distinct environment that welcomes students and opens their minds for an enriching experience while forming close connections with faculty and fellow students.

At the University of Arizona, you'll be able to expand your research expertise through resources on campus and in the broader region. Whether engaging with faculty on research projects located at Biosphere 2 or on the Tohono O’odham Nation along the Arizona-Mexico border, there are vast cultural and environmental contexts to enhance your academic activities.

Many MS Arch students take on leadership roles with partnering organizations, such as the Arizona/Tucson chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council or Arizona Technology Council. Students also keep themselves busy with work opportunities on campus and in the various labs, participate in regional conferences such as the AZSEC (Arizona Student Energy Conference) and also find time to unwind with fellow students from CAPLA and across the UArizona campus.

At CAPLA, you'll find that your diverse background and experience lend to an already engaging and empowering, research-focused educational experience.

CAPLA is both a school and a home to me, 11,000 kilometers away from my home and my family. Here, I found a loving environment that I look forward to being a part of everyday.
