Biography

Oscar, who most know as “Fuzz”, graduated from CAPLA in 1981 and joined Gresham Larson Associates as a project architect working on schools, office buildings for more than six years.  JNC Development lured Fuzz away to work on the development side of commercial office, retail and condominium projects for a number of years before he went to work for The Tucson Local Development Corporation (TLDC).  TLDC purchased buildings on behalf of the City of Tucson, renovated, and restored the buildings that were then leased to the City on a lease back for the purchase agreement.  One of the significant projects included the Temple of Music and Arts on Scott Avenue.  California called and Fuzz relocated to Los Angeles for twenty years, working for Abacus Project Management and then independently designing and managing building and tenant improvements for a portfolio of high-end office buildings.  Returning to Southern Arizona, he worked on the Santa Cruz County Jail & Courts Building before landing his current position as Director of Support Services for the Nogales Unified School District No.1 (NUSD#1).
