For the M.Arch, MS.Arch, MLA and MS Urban Planning
Our Graduate Programs
The NAAB-accredited, STEM-designated M.Arch, available in two- or three-year tracks, places an emphasis on critical practice and sustainable design honed by the poetics of place.
Devoted to applied research on the built environment, the 18-month, STEM-designated MS.Arch allows students to move across and between concentration areas or form their own specialization in architectural research and practice.

The LAAB-accredited, STEM-designated MLA is a three-year program that prepares students for the practice of landscape architecture and engages them in applied scholarship with an emphasis on sustainable strategies.
The Master of Real Estate Development, offered in-person (18 months) and online (as little as 12 months), is designed for professionals who seek to become industry leaders, and focuses on sustainable real estate development analysis, finance and practice.
The two-year, PAB-accredited MS Urban Planning prepares students to address the challenges that face society and the environment through sustainable urban and regional planning.
CAPLA Dual-Degree Options
CAPLA master's degree programs may be combined with certain other CAPLA and University of Arizona master's degrees as dual degrees, which provide an abbreviated time frame for the completion of two master's degrees. Available dual degrees are:
MS Urban Planning/Master of Business Administration Dual Degree
This coordinated dual MS Urban Planning/Master of Business Administration degree is available for students interested in business and development, green building, land and resource use and regional planning.
Master of Architecture/Master of Science in Architecture Dual Degree
This coordinated degree is available for students interested in a professional NAAB-accredited architecture master's degree along with a research focus in design and energy conservation, emerging building technologies, health and the built environment, heritage conservation, sustainable market transformation, urban design or your own personal interest.
MS Urban Planning/Master of Real Estate Development Dual Degree
The dual MS Urban Planning/Master of Real Estate Development degree is for students who are interested in the development of sustainable built environments through the practices of responsible real estate development and urban planning.
MS Urban Planning/MS in Water, Society and Policy Dual Degree
The MS Urban Planning/MS in Water, Society and Policy dual degree provides space to explore and gain expertise in water science and resource management, sustainable urban and regional planning and the application of technology to address key water-related challenges facing society.
