Architecture Master's Programs

COMPARE THE Architecture Master's Programs

Research and design sustainable buildings and spaces in harmony with climate and place.

The STEM-designated architecture master's programs at the University of Arizona prepare you to thrive in practice and research—in Arizona, across the country and around the world.

Our Master of Architecture (M.Arch) is an NAAB-accredited, two- or three-year professional degree that combines place-based design honed in the extreme climate and multicultural landscape of the Sonoran Desert with cutting-edge material and environmental research, all delivered through hands-on learning.

Our Master of Science in Architecture (MS.Arch) is a unique, three-semester program devoted to applied research on the built environment with emphases areas that include design and energy conservation, emerging building technologies, health and the built environment and sustainable market transformation.

The Master of Architecture/Master of Science in Architecture Dual Degree is available for students interested in a professional NAAB-accredited architecture master's degree along with a research focus in design and energy conservation, emerging building technologies, health and the built environment, heritage conservation, sustainable market transformation, urban design or your own personal interest. You will complete the dual degree within the duration required for the M.Arch program, plus one additional semester.
