Master of Fine Arts in Web Design and New Media, Academy of Art University
Damon Leverett, MFA, AIA, NCARB is an architect and artist working in the southwest region of the United States. Formerly with the American Institute of Architects, he served as managing director, workforce development and strategy at the national office in Washington, DC from 2013 to 2019.
Damon has over 30 years of experience working in the architecture and design industry as a principal, lead designer and instructor. He served as adjunct lecturer at Lawrence Technological University College of Architecture and Design from 1990 to 2001 and was visiting lecturer of architectural design at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign from 2012-2013. Damon also holds a Master of Fine Arts in Web Design and New Media from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and is currently senior lecturer in the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture and adjunct instructor in the School of Information at the University of Arizona. His current areas of instruction include architectural design, architectural technology, installation design and digital storytelling.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Damon has former associations with the firms of Albert Kahn Associates, SmithGroup and EYP Architects and Engineers. He is a licensed architect in Arizona and Michigan and currently resides in Tucson.
