National Institute for Transportation and Communities (NITC)

The University of Arizona is now part of the National Institute for Transportation and Communities (NITC), one of five USDOT-funded National University Transportation Centers. We join a network of transportation researchers and educators from Portland State University, University of Utah, University of Oregon, Oregon Institute of Technology, and University of Texas Arlington. Having NITC at UA means exciting opportunities for our students and faculty. These include research funding for faculty, NITC Student Scholar awards to support and recruit top transportation students, student conference travel scholarships, support for student organizations, dissertation fellowships, and a visiting scholar program.
