We are pleased to announce the launch of the Arthur C. Nelson, Phd, FAcSS, FAICP Fellowship Endowment.

It will provide support to incoming or current graduate students enrolled full-time in the Master of Science in Urban Planning or Master of Real Estate Development programs who demonstrate superior academic promise and professional commitment to their chosen field of study. Many thanks to Chris Nelson, Professor of Urban Planning and Real Estate Development, for his generous support of our incredible students.

Arthur "Chris" Nelson, PhD, FAcSS, FAICPProfessor of Urban Planning and Real Estate Development, has made significant contributions in the areas of real estate analysis, smart growth, infrastructure financing, transportation and economic development outcomes, and metropolitan development patterns. Dr. Nelson is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences as well as the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Rachel Hink’s BWS Architects Internship Brings Design to CanStruction

Fifth-year B.Arch student Rachel Hink gained hands-on experience in architecture and community engagement through her summer internship with BWS Architects. From contributing to site plans and project meetings to participating in CanStruction, a community outreach event benefiting the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, the experience gave Hink valuable insight into how architecture can serve and strengthen communities.
