In celebration of World Landscape Architecture Month, CAPLA and the Arizona Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects student chapter are taking over the Arizona ASLA Instagram account in April. 

 

During the takeover, CAPLA will highlight the work and voices of landscape architecture students. 

From studio culture and student design projects to community engagement, the takeover offers a behind-the-scenes look at what makes landscape architecture at CAPLA unique.

World Landscape Architecture Month is an annual celebration held in April that highlights the work and importance of landscape architecture. 

Organized by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), WLAM aims to showcase how landscape architects design healthy, beautiful, and resilient places while also advocating for the profession and inspiring future generations.

Japan Study Abroad

CAPLA Students Explore Smart Cities and Global Planning Innovation in Japan

Led by faculty member Brian Bidolli, the CAPLA Study Abroad program “Cities of the Future: Japan” combined classroom learning with site visits in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. Students explored smart cities and sustainable urban development through lectures, professional meetings, cultural excursions, and visits to cutting-edge institutions. The program offered an immersive experience that connected theory with practice while deepening students’ global perspective on planning and design.
