Greetings from CAPLA!
First and foremost, we hope you are healthy and managing well during this time. Thank you for your past support of the University of Arizona and the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture. In the role we play to secure resources for our programs at CAPLA, we work with alumni, parents and friends who choose to partner with us as volunteers, donors, mentors and well-informed ambassadors. Kay and I have reached out to many of you to engage in student career advice, to provide specific input and to share your experiences at CAPLA through alumni profiles. You will see some of those profiles in our new The Studio e-newsletter.
We are grateful for the many donors and alumni, like you, who have supported our mission. It speaks to the strength of our community and that strength will get us through these uncertain times. Normally, we would be reaching out to you to request an in-person meeting; however, due to the current situation, we would welcome the opportunity to schedule a phone call or video chat.
If you are open to connecting we could start with hearing how you are doing. Depending on that discussion, if relevant, we could then discuss your experiences at CAPLA and the impact the college has had on your life. Finally, we are sharing how supporters like you are choosing to make a difference now and in the future.
We make no assumptions about how you might like to be involved, but my sense is we could explore the options together. This is a challenging time and we want to be sensitive to all that is going on in our world. We are finding that some people want to discuss their philanthropy and how they can make a difference, while others prefer to wait to have that conversation.
Please let me know if you would like to virtually meet with me or Kay. We look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you in advance and stay healthy and safe.
