The 25th Annual KIDStruction Student Design+Build Competition is looking for 10 volunteers to help prepare this year's competition.

Volunteers are needed on Friday, October 16 from 4-6 p.m. at Park Place Mall to help students check-in and setup their models for the Lunar Design Challenge. 

The following roles are also needed on Saturday, October 17 at Park Place Mall.

  • Four judges to evaluate student projects from 9-11 a.m.
  • One photographer to capture the event from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

This year's theme, Lunar Design Challenge, invites sixth- through eighth-grade students to design a structure that supports a crew of astronauts living on the moon. Teams will focus on one of four project categories, build a model, and present a written description of their proposed lunar design. The four categories are:

  • Research Pod
  • Dwelling Pod
  • Recreation Pod
  • Lunar Base Station
