Event Description:
The Green Infrastructure Leadership and Engagement (GILE) team invites you to attend the Spring 2026 GILE Symposium, Tracking Green Stormwater Infrastructure: Data, Practice + Learning. As recent recipients of the Campus Sustainability Fund, this student-led initiative is launching a three-year effort focused on advancing green infrastructure, water conservation, and sustainable landscape practices across the University of Arizona and surrounding communities.
This symposium will introduce GILE’s mission, current initiatives, and long-term goals while highlighting efforts to track and evaluate green stormwater infrastructure through data-driven approaches, applied practice, and collaborative learning. Presentations will feature student work alongside insights from faculty and local professionals, offering perspectives on implementation, challenges, and opportunities within the field.
The event aims to foster meaningful connections between students and practitioners while encouraging engagement and leadership in areas such as urban ecology, landscape design, and environmental stewardship.
