Learning from the Best: Isabella Cleopatra de Sousa Proulx '25 B.LA
Isabella Cleopatra de Sousa Proulx ‘25 B.LA is a dedicated landscape architecture student at the University of Arizona with a passion for themed design and creating immersive environments. Recently, she completed an internship with Universal Studios in Orlando, where she contributed to the highly anticipated Epic Universe theme park, opening in May 2025. Working under the facility design team, Isabella gained hands-on experience in architectural processes, site inspections, and project development within the themed entertainment industry.

The Temporal Passage: Jacob Downard '22 B.Arch
The architecture of The Temporal Passage responds to the site's volcanic conditions by being conceptually rooted in scale, time and the moving materials of our living earth in an attempt to convey the magnitude of these natural forces. It further explores the spatial and conceptual juxtapositions between the human-operated straight line and the ensured chaos of nature.
