In early May, CAPLA hosted the 2nd Annual Real Estate Symposium at the University of Arizona Scottsdale Center in Phoenix.
The symposium drew more than 40 real estate alumni and industry partners from the greater Phoenix area and highlighted the real estate trends shaping development and investment across Arizona.
U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego gave the keynote address, highlighting his housing plan, "The Path Home," a comprehensive housing framework that address structural barriers limiting housing production, from zoning and permitting, to financing and workforce constraints, and what it would take to build more homes at scale.
Following Senator Gallego's talk was Gene Strojek, vice president of development at Mack Real Estate Group, who shared the vision for the 2,300+ acre master-planned development of Halo Vista in North Phoenix immediately adjacent to the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing campus.
The symposium concluded with a panel discussion featuring industry leaders Don Leak, executive vice president of Shelter Asset Management, LLC, and Alex Boles, managing director of ViaWest Group, and policy maker Sarah Liguori, Arizona state representative for legislative district 5 (LD5).
The event was a great success and we're grateful to Kontexture for sponsoring the happy hour and networking reception.
