What brought you to CAPLA as a visiting professor?
CAPLA offers a unique position to learn from the built and natural environment of the Sonoran Desert—an environment of extreme climatic contrast, cultural vitality and architectural innovation. My research, creative work and teaching focus on digital fabrication and desertification, and in the last few years I’ve been teaching and practicing across the American Southwest and Europe.
What are you currently teaching, and what do you most enjoy about teaching?
This fall I am teaching a pair of courses in the Master of Architecture program. The best thing about teaching: the students.
Tell us about your service work at the college.
During the 2023 academic year, I’ll be serving as a member of the Foundation Committee, working alongside a transdisciplinary group of faculty drawn from across CAPLA’s schools/programs on our first-year Bachelor of Architecture studio.
Beyond teaching, what are your passions?
Travel.
